Midwest Golf Showcase and Tournament

The Paramount Scouting Bureau Midwest Golf Showcase and Tournament is your chance to receive a full evaluation of your playing abilities, and then have that information provided to college coaches in attendance and across the country.

The Midwest Golf Showcase and Tournament also gives you a chance to demonstrate your talents while seeing how you compare to other golfers your age.  It gives college coaches a chance to stay ahead in the recruiting game by providing an opportunity for coaches to see your talent or receive information about you.

The Midwest Golf Showcase and Tournament is a two-day event held July 11th and 12th, 2012 at the Bent Tree Golf Club in Sunbury, OH.  The event includes a swing evaluation by GolfTEC, a skills competition using LinxTracker scoring, an 18-hole tournament, a coaches roundtable, and a college recruiting seminar.  Following the event, Paramount Scouting Bureau makes the tournament, swing evaluation and skills competition results available to all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA coaches.

Since the recruiting process starts early in a student-athlete's high school career, the Midwest Golf Showcase and Tournament is open to all boys and girls 13 years of age or older.  Registration is open on a first-come basis to all recruitable student-athletes, including high shool, junior college and non-scholarshp college golfers.  The registration fee is $295.00.

SWING ANALYSIS by GolfTEC
For more than 15 years, GolfTEC has been helping golfers of all skill levels improve their play.  As the undisputed leader in golf improvement, GolfTEC teaches 20 percent of all U.S. golf lessons annually.  GolfTEC will be using their motion analysis software to see how well you know your swing and how closely it compares to the players on the PGA and LPGA tours. This evaluation will provide players with the insights needed to build proper swing mechanics and lower your scores through increased driving distance and accuracy with every club in your bag.

SHOWCASE and SKILLS CHALLENGES
The Showcase and Skills Challenges, set up over nine holes, will evaluate your abilities under actual playing conditions.  Held on the first day, you will get your chance to demonstrate your talent in every aspect of your game.  The skills challenges include driving accuracy and distance, chipping, pitching, greenside and fairway bunkers, approach (100 and 150 yards), and putting from various distances.

We use LinxTracker, a performance analysis program, to evaluate each participant and to determine the skills challenge champion.  LinxTracker will evaluate all aspects of the skills challenges by documenting for each golfer these critical components of the game.  LinxTracker will determine specific trends and patterns in your game and identify your strengths and weaknesses.

COACHES ROUNDTABLE
Listen to college coaches discuss what they look for in a recruit and what is involved in playing golf at the different levels of NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA schools.  Get a personal insight from the coaches, and then have an opportunity to ask questions in the open forum segment of the roundtable discussion.

COLLEGE RECRUITING SEMINAR
The college recruiting seminar is your first step to earning a college scholarship.  Recruiting is more sophisticated than your high school coach or local teaching pro recommending your to a college coach.  If you want to get exposure and compete for an athletic scholarship, then you better start this process your freshman year or earlier by letting coaches know about you.

Listen to Ronald Vrana, the owner of Paramount Scouting Bureau, discuss the upsides of being a college athlete.  Vrana has nearly 17 years of experience as a personal recruiting advisor.  Having worked with over 1600 student-athletes in their transition from high school to college athletics, he is consedered by many as the foremost expert in college recruiting.

Vrana's presentation, The ABCD's of Earning a College Scholarship, will talk about the steps to being recruited, and much more, to better prepare your family for the college recruiting process.
