Showcase Directors

Ronald Vrana - Vrana is the owner and scouting director for the Paramount Scouting Bureau, and a regional director for National Scouting Report. Having run baseball and softball showcases since 1997, his premier event is the Beast of the East Showcase in Wheeling, WV. In the past, the event has drawn athletes and college coaches from numerous states and Canada, along with several hundred spectators. Vrana has extensive coaching experience and has recruited at the college level. He has experience in sports information, public relations and promotions at the college and professional levels. Vrana earned his undergraduate degree in secondary education from Flagler College and his Master’s degree in communications/public relations from Shippensburg University. He has earned numerous national awards for curriculum development and is listed in Who's Who in American Education, Who’s Who Among American Teachers and Who's Who in American Business. Vrana coached high school sports for 18 years producing numerous individual and team champions in track, basketball, football and softball. Vrana also officiated high school baseball, softball and track, and ASA softball.

Claudio Reilsono - Claudio Reilsono - Reilsono, the director of professional scouting for the Paramount Scouting Bureau, is the former general manager and lead scout for the Global Scouting Bureau where he assisted in placing over 1,000 baseball players onto professional rosters. He is currently the head baseball coach at Carnegie-Mellon University. Reilsono started his coaching career at Quaker Valley (PA) High School. During his tenure at Quaker Valley, Reilsono founded and coached the Sewickley semi-pro baseball team. He went on to coach at Penn-State–Beaver where he guided the team to the Penn State Commonwealth Championship and an appearance in the NJCAA National Championships. Reilsono also was an assistant coach at Duquesne University. A frequent guest on television and radio sports programs for his baseball expertise, Reilsono also conducts baseball camps, private lessons, and is a motivational speaker. He produced a hitting video in 2003 & has helped players sign professional baseball contracts all over the world including: Australia, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Holland, the Czech Republic and Germany.
Mike Florak - Mike Florak is the Former Youngstown State University and Waynesburg University head baseball coach, Mike Florak became one of the youngest Division 1 head baseball coaches in the country when in the fall of 1998 he was named the coach at YSU. He coached 11 players in nine years who were either drafted or signed professional baseball contracts, including one first-round and one fourth-round selection. He led YSU to the 2004 Horizon League Championship and their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. In 2004 and 2005, Florak was one of only 12 baseball coaches in the country selected to be an instructor at the NCAA YES Clinic at the College World Series. Under Florak, YSU maintained a high degree of academic integrity in their baseball program. In 2002 and 2007, the YSU baseball team had the highest team grade point average for all of the men's team sports in the entire Horizon League. At Waynesburg, the baseball team also achieved in the classroom. In both of Florak's years (1997 and 1998), the Waynesburg baseball team had a team grade point average above 3.0. In 1997, the team had the highest team batting average in the nation. The 1998 team was the Presidents' Athletic Conference champions. Florak also was an assistant coach at Ohio University and West Liberty State. He was and assistant for the 1994 Steubenville (OH) Catholic Central High School and Steubenville American Legion state championship teams. Florak was drafted by the Seattle Mariners and still holds career records at Ohio University where he earned his undergraduate degree in communications and his Master's degree in education.
Showcase Scouts
Toney Butler - Butler has been involved with baseball for over 30 years. He began his baseball days in Connecticut before, at age 17, moving to Alabama. There, he played his junior year on the Centronell High School state championship team and was named to the Alabama all-state team. At the end of the season, he moved back to Connecticut where in 1983 he received all-city honors from the Norwalk Hour newspaper. He hit the game winning home run to put Norwalk High in the state playoffs for the first time in many years. He then received a scholarship to attend Jarvis Christian College where as a freshman he was a starting pitcher, broke batting records and had the lowest ERA (1.24) on the team. He also led the NAIA in strikeouts for freshman pitchers. Drafted as a junior, Butler played four years with the Longview Pirates (Minor League AA) before returning to Connecticut to help his cousin, Mo Vaughn, start his baseball career. Butler has been coaching youth baseball for over 20 years.
David Crisafulli - Dave Crisafulli was born and raised in Oswego, New York. A graduate of Oswego State University, Crisafulli earned all-conference honors in baseball his last two seasons and was the first player at Oswego State to be named to the NYS Division III all star team upon completion of the 1981 season. Although not drafted, Crisafulli was invited as a non-drafted free agent by the New York Yankees farm team located in Oneonta, New York. In 1982, after an invite by the Chicago White Sox as a walk on, Crisafulli declined and opted to end his baseball career. Crisafulli received his bachelor’s degree in education from Oswego State in 1981 and received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2002 from Syracuse University. A member of the Oswego State Baseball Hall of Fame, Crisafulli is getting back to baseball as a scout with the Paramount Scouting Bureau to evaluate high school and college baseball players. In addition, Crisafulli will be participating, as an instructor, at Oswego State baseball camps.
