TRAINING

Paramount Scouting Bureau has developed unique program for training professional baseball scouts and assisting players in attaining professional baseball opportunities. Paramount Scouting Bureau also has developed a successful marketing plan, including procedures, formats, and products for the purpose of soliciting prospects for our showcase business.

For you to become a successful Paramount Scouting Bureau licensee, you must receive proper training in our business. We are very conscious of our reputation with college coaches and professional baseball organizations; therefore, we expect that our scouts be professional and knowledgeable. This means that all licensees are required to attend a four-day training in Pittsburgh, PA, or other site designated by Paramount Scouting Bureau.

You are also required to pay, in advance, a licensing and training fee. This fee includes your training expenses (not including your travel to and from the training), a radar gun, company paraphernalia and materials, lunches at training, and your hotel stay. The training program will include a thorough orientation of scouting and player evaluation methods, Paramount Scouting Bureau policies and procedures, successful prospecting, advertising methods, conducting and managing scouts and other personnel, and pay plans.

You will experience, first hand, what is involved in being a successful scout who can proficiently evaluate talent and prepare reports for professional scouting directors and general managers. Competent individuals with extensive experience in scouting at the major league level and who have many years experience with Paramount Scouting Bureau will train you. Our training classes include classroom instruction in scouting and how to run your Paramount Scouting Bureau business, along with scouting live events so we can demonstrate scouting techniques and evaluate your scouting skills. Once you complete training, you will be ready to go back to your area and start conducting evaluation events.

After you leave training, Paramount Scouting Bureau provides company support and constant communication to ensure the success of our licensees.  Paramount Scouting Bureau provides insurance coverage, web site services, administrative and other services necessary to conduct a successful scouting program, and on-going support and assistance to our Licensees.  Paramount Scouting Bureau also provides assistance to our Licensee's operation by providing a connection to professional organizations in independent, affiliate, major league and international baseball.

Our manuals, forms, promotional items, and other written documents are copyrighted and legally protected. Our marketing methods and procedures are considered confidential company property. You will be required to sign and have notarized a non-compete and confidentiality agreement not to divulge or use any of our material or marketing methods except in your job as a Paramount Scouting Bureau licensee.

Income Potential

Licensees receive commission on the showcase registration fees charged to showcase participants. Licensees also receive commission for any prospect signing a professional contract and commission on all advertising revenues, concessions, ticket sales, parking or other revenues streams generated by a Paramount Scouting Bureau event.

You are not limited to how many events you may conduct.  You control your destiny and you control your income.

How to Apply

Not everyone can be a Paramount Scouting Bureau licensee.  As a potential licensee, you are required to submit a cover letter and full resume, and be interviewed.  Paramount Scouting Bureau does not accept you just because you have the desire and financial means to buy a license.  You must have an appropriate background and the personality and communication skills necessary to conduct and represent the Paramount Scouting Bureau business.

If you are ready to do something that is truly exciting and fun, join the Paramount Scouting Bureau team and enjoy the prestige of being a professional scout. Send your cover letter and resume to:
