Showcase Camp at Oakland Community College
The Paramount Scouting Bureau is holding a showcase camp at Oakland Community College in Auburn Hills, MI on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The event, open to girls in grades eight through twelve, begins at 9:00 am in Building H.
The showcase camp is an opportunity for girls to perform for college coaches at one or several positions. Instructors from Paramount Scouting Bureau, the Oakland Community College softball coaching staff, and other top collegiate coaches will provide professional instruction for running, batting, fielding, catching and pitching. Athletes will also receive an evaluation at their position(s) and for running and batting. Paramount Scouting Bureau will then make the results available to college softball coaches across the country.
Each athlete in the showcase camp will attend a college recruiting seminar and participate in Softball Fit, a series of softball specific skills tests. Following the showcase camp, each athlete will receive, via email, their test results and a written evaluation of their physical abilities, along with suggestions of how to improve her abilities.

Paramount Teams Up with ABR
Paramount Scouting Report has teamed up with Amateur Baseball Report to find the best baseball players in the country. Now, Paramount Scouting Bureau showcases are an opportunity for baseball players to earn an invite to a Journey to the Dream Regional Showcase or a direct invite to the USSSA All-American Games.
The USSSA All-American Games are an invite only event consisting of the top individuals at the 14 – 16u age level that we have seen from throughout the country. The event will be held at the Houston Astros Spring Training Complex in Kissimmee, FL in August. Top performers at the USSSA All-American Games earn a spot on a USSSA National Team. The 17u USSSA National Team (16u at the All-American Games) will travel internationally. The 15u and 16u USSSA National Teams will compete in the USSSA Gold Medal Games.
These events are a unique experience for everybody involved. The USSSA All-American Games not only provide the collegiate and professional exposure that is necessary to compete at the next level, but also gives an opportunity to represent your country as part of the USSSA National Teams. Players can find additional information and showcase registration forms on the baseball showcase page.

Pre-Amateur Draft Baseball Camp
Paramount Scouting Bureau conducts annual Pre-Amateur Draft Baseball Camps in May. These event allow pro scouts to get one last look at draft-eligible players before the June Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. This event is only for draft-eligible college and high school players, along with players looking to re-enter the draft. It also gets you in the system for when teams contact Paramount Scoiuting Bureau when looking to sign free agents.
Paramount Scouting Bureau is planning camps in Pittsburgh, Indiana and Georgia.
The professional scouting staff of Paramount Scouting Bureau evaluates players on their 60-yard times, hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching and catching. After we evaluate each player, we determined at what level, if any, the player can compete, including Major League affiliates, independent leagues, overseas.
Paramount Scouting Bureau is in contact with major league teams and other professional organizations in need of players. Several major league teams have committed to sending members of their scouting staff to observe players as they participate in the workouts. Following the events, the Paramount Scouting Bureau contacts and continues to contact teams to see if there is interest in players evaluated at the Pre-Amateur Draft Camps. We also keep information on players at the camp as teams contact us throughout the year in need of players. Paramount Scouting Bureau receives requests almost daily from pro teams looking to replace players who get released, promoted or injured.
Paramount Youth Baseball Camps
Paramount Scouting Bureau is now working with baseball players age nine- through 13-years-old to provide them an opportunity to be instructed and evaluated by college coaches and professional scouts. In the Paramount Scouting Bureau Youth Baseball Camps, players will be split up into groups based on their respective age level and experience four main stations for the camp: infield, outfield, batting, and throwing. Each group will spend time at each station, giving players the opportunity to learn and be evaluated at each aspect of the game. Following the stations, players will go through a skills evaluation consisting of running, velocity from infield and outfield, pitching, catching, and hitting.
Each player at the camp will be given an ABR Player Profile Page. The profile page will list the results from the camp: how fast each player ran, how fast each player threw the baseball from the infield, outfield, and the mound. Also, catchers will be given the chance to throw down to second and get their velocity and pop times recorded. To go along with the statistical data posted on the Player Profile Page, comments from the ABR Instructors will also be available for each player to see.
The top players at the camp may be invited to represent their state and compete against other state teams in the USSSA Junior Games. Go to the showcase page for dates, times, and to register.
